The African beaded statues are among the most famous African productions. They come from the area controlled by the Bamileke and especially the Sultanate Bamun (Region Foumban in western Cameroon).
Carved from a wood core, they are then covered with a raffia cloth and a mesh of colored beads and cowries (small shell that once served as currency).
This throne is 120 cm high.
Devoid of practical function (sit), the seat was only an object of prestige to impress visitors with its wealth and its magnigicence (It used two cowries to buy a woman).
